Young Singaporean artist Teng Yen Lin is proud to present her first solo exhibition from 22-23 September 2012. This show, Dancing on Thin Air, presents over 200 works accumulated over the past 7 years of her art practice, revealing a young adult’s reflections on an inner world barely glimpsed. Rendered primarily in acrylic, each canvas is painted with the thoughts and feelings of the artist in a poignant negotiation of both physical and metaphysical worlds. Questions of isolation, identity, and transcendence persist, yet nonetheless prove that even from the darkest of moments can emerge the most beautiful of things.
